Uwharrie Safari 2012
It's that time once again - time to welcome the coming of spring to the forested, rolling hills of North Carolina's Piedmont. Come join us in beautiful Uwharrie National Forest. The Uwharrie Safari is a family friendly and laid back event that combines off road driving in the National Forest with the camaraderie that we all enjoy as we drive the worlds best 4x4xFar!
Meet other Land Rover owners and take part in challenging yet non-damaging fun trail rides in the forest. There will be many events planned to allow owners of showroom stock Land Rovers to find out just what their shiny machine is capable of, together with a chance for modified machines to Strut Their Stuff.

Adopt-A-Trail at Uwharrie
The club has signed up for the Adopt-A-Trail program in the Uwharrie National Forest. There is no fee to adopt the trail but it will require our club members to do some work on the trail. In short, we will need to perform trail maintenance at least 4 times during the year. Maintenance could be as simple as picking up litter or repairing fences and bridges. The trail we have adopted is Rocky Mountain Loop.
If you are interested in participating, keep tabs on our forum and on our Facebook page. If you decide that you want to volunteer during one of the work days, you will be able to camp for free and get a free trail pass So far ALL the clubs have made a difference and want to keep these trails open for all to enjoy.

Do remember that the club is run entirely by volunteers who have jobs, families etc but we do try to respond to every question the same day.
