Ramp Travel Index (RTI) is for measuring how flexible your suspension is.  There are two ways to accomplish this (one more accurate than the other).

Sometimes noise generated from within the motor compartment of a tractor or auto can be very difficult to trace down. One of the best ways is with the use of a RF Sniffer.  A simple one can be made easily and quickly.

If you have never used Riv-Nuts - you have missed out! They are the most marvelous invention for inserting a captive nut into a panel where you do not have access to the back of the panel.

The I/R (infra-red) switch on Series III FFR 24v vehicles is known for many problems.  The best thing to do is bypass it.  It has been known to burn out wiring harnesses.  The relay also has been known to over-heat and cause other issues.  In short, they dropped this system in later years due to its many problems.

It seems to happen at some point, your motor/transmission mounts fail.  It is not a difficult task but can be tedious.  Here is a trick that you can apply that will make changing your mounts much easier.

Gasket sealers and the like are great for emergencies, or if the mating surfaces are damaged, but are not usually recommended as a cure-all for the ever-present Rover leaks.  Proper gaskets for these bits are very inexpensive, and can be had from any LR parts dealer. Quality is the keyword here - cheap gaskets are useless. This is one of the spots you may tend to buy original, as they tend to be made better than the after-market gaskets. That said, the gasket sealers are great for cementing the gasket onto the cover or sump, both for sealing and to hold it in place when reinstalled.

This can be really easy or very hard depending on the last time it was done and the orientation of the planets.

I have not personally tried this but have been told by many others that it works using nothing more than a penny.
